BLUE BALKONY FESTIVAL
The Indian Head Center for the Arts is proud to present a brand new annual event dedicated
to the fusion and convergence of music and cultures:
The International Folk-Fusion Festivals:

Music Fusion and Ethnic Convergence.

Sep 20, 2008~
4pm to midnight

For 2008, our first edition, we will honor two extremely rich musical traditions that have shaped the cultural landscape of the US. Two people united beyond language and ethnicity by a common history of discrimination and oppression: Rroma and African-Americans.From 4pm to 11pm, 8 groups will perform on the stage of the Indian Head Pavilion to lead you in a cross-Atlantic dialogue between Blues and the Balkans.

From 11pm, the Rromani musicians and blues artists will get together for an hour and half of JAMMING like you never heard before.

We are seeking host homes for the guest artists from New York.
We are also seeking sponsors for the festival.
If you are interested in sponsoring the festival or hosting an artists in your home,
call us at 301-743-3040 ext 5
