The Indian Head Center for the Arts

Chesapeake Bay Floating Theatre, Inc a Maryland 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation, manages the Black Box Theatre at the Indian Head Center for the Arts, in Indian Head, MD. The Indian Head Center for the Arts is dedicated to cultural advancement of the region through education, arts and entertainment. Our Black Box Theatre is a forum for the arts in Southern Maryland, showcasing a wide variety of talented groups and individuals throughout the year. We consider ourselves and "arts incubator" for Southern Maryland.

With outreach programming such as theater labs, apprenticeship programs and community-centered performances, CBFT can achieve its ultimate goal of recreating the experience of the James Adams Floating Theatre, a barge that traversed the Chesapeake Bay in the early 1900's.
